My previous doctor prescribed 50 mcg's of synthroid (thyroxine) (and my thyroid levels became normal), my new doctor put me on 100 mcg's. should i be worried?

Thyroid function: You should be getting another set of thyroid function blood tests especially tsh, free t4, t3 (liothyronine) and fti. These tests should be repeated again in 3-4 months.

Why?: If your thyroid level is normal, why would you need to double up on the dose? Ask the prescribing doctor why he would recommend this. Seek second opinion if necessary. Make sure you have your latest lab report with you.
