Have mild hypothyroidism(induced by eating disorder years ago)no thyroid antibodies detected ever.on synthroid 25mcg.idk why but my doctor ordered thyroglobulin lc/ms/ms(prob by accident)with thyroid panel this time and it came high (12.5).normal?

This method is used for detecting thyroglobulin in patient with thyroid cancer after thyroidectomy in the presence of anti- thyroglobulin antibodies. Your result was reportedly because it is supposed to be very low or undetectable in patient with thyroidectomy. In another word, your level of 12.5 is normal for a patient with intact thyroid.
