A member asked:

How common are complex renal cysts in children? what is the prognosis for a complex cyst that doesn't look cancerous- what are the chances of change?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fairly common: Often these are a focus of cystic renal dysplasia. If the radiologist is confident of the diagnosis, they are a non-issue, like a birthmark.
