SAFE TOFOLLOW: In a recent study the conclusion was malignancy rate in surgically excised bosniak iif and bosniak iii cystic renal lesions was 25% and 54%, respectively, in our study, the malignancy rate was higher in patients with a history of primary renal malignancy or coexisting bosniak IV lesion and/or solid renal neoplas.

Very good afternoon doctors. How long is the recovery after surgery to remove a complex renal kidney cyst? This would be a cyst with a Bosniak Score of III or IV?
Had Abd CT/urogram on Tues for a follow up of a simple kidney cyst on repeat ultrasounds. CT showed Right upper pole cyst measuring 3.2 2.3 cm RIGHT RENAL SIMPLE CYST (BOSNIAK CATEGORY ONE). Is this concerning? Will I need follow up?
