Not necessarily : Although it's important to try and keep your feet from becoming flatter. It is possible that a higher arched shoe could cause strain or pressure on areas that won't like it. Persons who are flat-footed need more biomechanical control more than support. I advise, consulting with your local area podiatrist first.
