Yes: It is ok to eat many things before running, but usually simple carbohydrates are best. Also, a small-to-moderate size meal, so as to not upset your stomach. Practice first with a small bowl of oatmeal ~30 mins before running, before you try that out on race morning, if you are considering running a race.
