Not likely: Acid reflux is not like to cause 'throat' cancer - which i would define as oropharynx. However, persistent acid reflux is clearly associated with a condition called barret's esophagus and the potential for development of esogphagela cancer (though i would consider that 'throat.' if you ahve a history of acid refulx, talk wtih your pcp about the need to see a GI doc.
