I doubt you...: ...Have throat cancer at your age and with no tobacco use and only limited alcohol intake (good choices, keep it like that). I don't know how often you see your doc but i'm sure he can help you deal with the reflux and perhaps more importantly, help your anxiety issues. Be healthy and alert but don't live in fear, young man.

Talk to your doctor: Throat cancer is very rare in 18 year olds and acid reflux is not a common symptom of throat cancer. There are many much more common causes of reflux. One should always see his or her doctor if there are worries like these and to help relieve the reflux symptoms.
