A member asked:

What does it mean if the blood glucose in a diabetic person drops after exercising while a non-diabetic's remain the same?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends : Hi. Depends on if the diabetic's glucose was high going in to the exercise, and what medicines the diabetic is taking (insulin, for instance, packs a BG-lowering punch when diabetics exercise). The non-diabtetic, by definition, has normal glucose metabolism, which in the fasting state doesn't fluctuate a whole lot.
