A member asked:

If my blood glucose levels were 5.9 after doing my fasting in the morning, does that mean i am borderline diabetic?

Nope: I assume you're talking about the a1c reading. Non-diabetic readings are between 4.0-6.0, so you should be good. The a1c is an index number that averages out the previous 100 days of blood sugars into 1 number that gives you an idea of what glucose levels have been. This is pretty much diagnostic that you are not diabetic. Continue a prudent, low-carb diet & active lifestyle to maintain that, tho!
