Enlarged lymph node: Common causes for swollen node are infection/inflammation, cat scratch, medication or cancers. See doc and physical exam usually give a clue. If nothing else to suggest cancer, an unexplained enlarged lymph node can be observed for 3-4 wks. If persist, then biopsy. Or biopsy immediately if other signs suggest cancer. Us can not replace biopsy.
