A member asked:

Not long ago had cancer, this morning noticed 1 swollen stationary tender lymph node a bit concerned any thoughts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cancers do spread: Development of lymph nodes post treatment of cancer is not uncommon. What one must know is what was the malignancy and what therapy was employed. If the lesion was on the trunk, then nodal involvement of axilla or groin can be seen post treatment. In the H&N region, cervical nodes can develop. Check with your treating physician as to whether the node is significant or not. Bx may be needed
