Cystic hyperplasia: There are two types of endometrial hyperplasia. 1) with atypica. 2) without atypia. If atypia is present, this is often associated with endometrial cancer and a hysterectomy is often performed. Those without atypia are often treated with Progesterone for 6-12 months and then reevaluated with an endo biopsy. Less than 5% of those without atypia progress to endometrial cancer.
