Sigmoid polyp removed in colonoscopy. got 2nd gi's opinion + 2nd scope 3 months later. he saw colitis in sigmoid, but biopsies normal. both gis diagnosis me w ibs. how am i still bleeding and having fevers?

IBS: You may have inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis or crohs disease. You need a colonoscopy to see if your disease is located higher in your colon. You mave abcess formation as well as friable tissue causing bleeding and fevers.

Polyp or colitis: You rarely bleed from ibs, most likely the polyp that was removed is still causing the bleeding or u. Colitis although the bx was normal, it is not unusual to have skip areas in u. Colitis.
