Numbness: The best thing for you to do is follow up with the dentist that did your root canal.

See Endodontist: Return to the dentist or endodontist who treated you. There are a number of tests to determine the vitality of the adjacent teeth. X-rays and/or a cone beam cat scan can determine the presence or absence of anatomic variations. Please be reevaluated.

The area that is numb needs to be mapped by Endodontist or oral surgeon. It's not normal. They also will look into possible reasons, including cysts, or tumor. Don't put this off, as k for a referral is you are not seeing a specialist.

Get reevaluated: Numbness in the upper jaw after this procedure is not normal. It could be trauma from injections or more serious. Please return to your dentist and get checked.

Sign of trouble: Numbness is not a normal aftereffect of a root canal procedure, especially not over such a large area. It could be a temporary effect of minor trauma. However, it also could be a sign of a serious problem, and isn’t something to be ignored. It is advisable to call the dentist who performed the procedure and schedule a follow up appointment promptly to find out what’s wrong.

In full agreement. There may be another issue; dental trauma. I would seek a post treatment evaluation and possibly see an Oral Surgeon or Specialist for analysis.
