My husband needs a root canal but dental insurance doesnt kick in for another month so hes been pushing through. tonight his pain is back & entire side of his face is numb. does he need to go to er? its after midnight can he wait until tomorrow?

Your husband appears to have a severe infection and most probably needs an antibiotic to help control it. The numbness is due to pressure in the bone. This should really be treated immediately, insurance or not.

Unless ER has Dental services it’s the w wrong place for you. And medical insurance will not cover ER Dental treatment. Your husband is playing Russian Roulette with a virulent infection. Best to see an Endodontist now.
