How long after a root canal do i have to wait until the numbness wears off and my mouth gets back to normal?

Depends ...: It depends on the kind of local anesthetic used. Some can last up to 8 hours. But usually around 4 hours.

Depends: It does not really matter what dental procedure was performed. What maters more is the type of numbing material was uses. Some are longer acting that others. A procedure like a root canal may require being numb longer so many dentists will use a longer acting medication to last through the procedure and to help post-treatment.
