Multiple: There are many new devices and materials for acdf. Zero-p or chesapeake are standalone devices. Some of the new spacers are made of titanium or bioceramic. Autograft remains the gold standard but has its own set of problems - persistent pain, second surgery site, etc. Limitations on some of the newer devices are lesser likelihood of successful fusion.
