My 9 year old child has recently started nose bleeds every few days. what causes them?

EPISTAXIS: Unless associated with any other problems, nose bleeding is caused by irritation of the blood vessels( littles area) inside the nose by dryness, congestion or picking the nose. If not controlled by pressure (pinching) active bleeders can be cauterized with agno3.
