Hypothyroidism. pa didn't tell me my levels. on synthroid (thyroxine). why am i gaining weight on synthroid (thyroxine)?

You can gain: Weight if your thyroid levels are still low. In addition, thyroid replacement stimulates appetite, and some people will gain weight if they are not careful to restrict intake and increase activity. There are many other causes for weight gain that have nothing to do with the thyroid.
