Question not clear: Radiodine uptake scan of the thyroid gland can select the thyroid nodule that need to be biopsied. If on the uptake scan the nodule is not taking the radiodine it is called as a cold nodule, and this type of nodules are associated with increased risk of cancer and need to be biopsied. On contrast high uptake in the nodule has lower risk of cancer and could be monitored with follow up usg.
