Long arm cast: Principles of fracture immobilization require immobilizing the joint above and the joint below the fracture. Therefore the elbow and wrist must be included in the cast. This is called a long arm cast.

LONG ARM CAST: you have to stabilize the elbow in order to properly support the proximal nature of the fracture.

Ulna fracture : If midshaft or so called nightstick fracture may not need a cast. Fractures close To the elbow may need a long arm cast but must Be assessed for Elbow function and stability and could need surgery if displaced Distal fractures and injuries to the drug need Reduction and casting or surgery
