Quite variable.: Not all mosquitoes are carrying infections. Depending on where one is, mosquitoes can be a linked to diseases such as Dengue Fever, Malaria, Yellow Fever, West Nile viruses & encephalitis. West Nile, encephalitis viruses & Dengue Fever (rare) can be found in the US. If you are an area that it endemic for a particular disease - then your chances of contracting it are higher.
