I have eczema, so i constantly have open-wounds on my body. a doctor told me that this puts me at a higher risk of catching infections. what illnesses/diseases should i especially keep an eye out for then? how about bloodbourne pathogens?

Skin infections: You are greater risk for skin infections. Even bugs that are harmless to other people may cause skin infections in you. You should consult a dermatologist for treatment of eczema.

Basics: The risks for bad eczema or chickenpox or bad burns are similar. Open skin can be invaded by surface germs like staph & strep and cause localized infections. If the infection penetrated deep enough (by being ignored) it may cause a deep cellulitis or possible enter the blood. Local pain. oozing, puss would signal a problem. I wouldn't sweat a sudden blood borne infection if you pay attention.
