Bright spots in WM: 1-2 tiny bright spots in brain may be a non specific finding. This can be attributed to various causes such as damage to nerve cells or ischemia or other similar causes. Significance of these in real life situation is not clear at this time. If they are large, multiple or in certain delicate areas of brain and patient has neurological findings - they are significant.
