Yes you can..: Providing that your gums are not swollen and you can still manage to wear your retainers for the hours prescribed.

If tissue is healthy: If your teeth and "settled in" and your gums have "settled down, " you can bleach your teeth. Since you are young and your pulp (nerve tissue) is fairly large, you should brush your teeth for a week if not 2 with a potassium nitrate toothpaste e.g. Sensodyne prior to the bleaching to avoid sensitivity.

Yes, give it a try : You can get your teeth whitened after braces. In fact whitening was an unintended discovery of an orthodontist using a gum treatment peroxide gel in trays to reduce one of his patients very inflamed gums. Your teeth may whiten or they may not and they may get sensitive or not. Whitening is a real crap shoot. Make sure you wear your white strips or use your take home trays!
