A member asked:

My dad had a really bad cold in december. he has no fever, but he's still coughing without mucus in april. why is he still coughing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Persistent cough: There are several uris in which the cough persists for lengthy time periods. This would include mycoplasma pneumoniae, viral bronchitis, adult perussis and so on and so on. If this continues for much longer it would be helpful to have him seen by your pcp.
