For the last few days, my father had mucus in his throat. just two days ago, he developed a fever, cough (with mucus) and nasal congestion. but now, the fever's going down but now, i'm coughing of which i think there's mucus. could this be covid?

Yes, this could be Covid but it could just as easily be a different virus or strep throat. Go get checked out by your PCP or an urgent care clinic so that you guys stop spreading the infection to other individuals and so that you can be properly treated.

It might be a good idea to have oneself tested for Covid-19 to be sure and also to see the PCP. Meanwhile one can self treat for Simple Cold since nasal congestion and cough with mucus are prominent symptoms.
