Started 3-4 weeks ago. fever first few day 3rd day gone. sore throat next 2-3 days.bad cough still lingering today but is improving.got hoarse throat(gone) and thik mucus in back of throat 2-3 weeks in(have stil wheezing(mybe no chst pain or sputum?

Dr. can check throat: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat (antibiotics are needed), a cold or other virus (antibiotics usually not used), allergies or irritants, sinusitis, stomach reflux when asleep, etc... Usually, a person sees the doctor if the throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep and review the story to see if sinusitis or stomach reflux might be a cause).
