A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thyroid biopsy: Most nodules of the thyroid are benign. However, one should consider biopsy of any nodule that is larger than 1 cm in size. Even though your nodule may be mostly fluid (cystic) containing, it would be advised to do a fine needle biopsy. This is a simple outpatient procedure.
