A 21-year-old female asked:

Is an overgrowth of candida something that can be treated medically or can you only treat it by change of diet?

BOTH: To successfully treat candida one must kill candida using antifungal agents which can be herbal or pharmaceutical, replace it with probiotics, and eat a low sugar ; starch diet. All of these are necessary- you could take the strongest antifungals ; it won't help if you eat sugar; sugar feeds candidia and you can't put out a fire if you are pouring gas on it! see http://huff.To/15mbzao good luck!
