Because......: 'candida overgrowth' is one of those conditions which is not felt to be a disease entity within itself, but is usually related to and underlying condition which has weakened ones immune system or a medical condition which promotes yeast growth such as diabetes. It is just too easy when you cannot explain a patient's symptoms to tell them 'candida overgrowth'. Don't buy it.

Points of view...: Great question- your strong conviction on this subject is important. Many doctors are unfamiliar of the concept of candida overgrowth- it is still an area we are still trying to understand. With our increasing knowledge of how an imbalance of our normal human microbiome can cause an overgrowth of certain organisms-including yeast/candida, we will able to discuss this subject more thoughtfully.
