Talk to doctor: There r many antidepressants - response to them is individual. Yr doctor can make adjustments or switch u to a different med that may work better. Therapy is also helpful, often meds alone r not as effective as meds plus therapy. Find a therapist who encourages u to try new ways of doing things - acting yr way into feeling better is more effective than waiting 4 something to make u feel better.

Try other treatments: Unfortunately, depression meds only help about 2/3, so 1/3 of patients have little benefit. With the help of your doctor you can try a higher dose or diff. Med. Adding high doses of fish oil increases benefits of meds. There are many alternatives that can help: psychotherapy, exercise, meditation, dietary changes, homeopathy, acupuncture, transcranial magnetic stimulation, vitamins, herbs etc.See comment:.

Talk to your Doctor: Medications need 2 be adjusted. Tell your doctor that u do not feel the medication is doing enough. He can adjust the amount or change the medication. In addition, the best results 4 depression are actually the combination of psychotherapy with medication, so consider starting 2 talk with a psychologist about the issues in your life that are contributing 2 the depression. Let us know how u r doing.
