An MRI would reveal: Any brain abnormalities associated with a small posterior fossa. If the space is too small for the cerebellum ; brainstem, they are pushed downward. Depending on how far downward, chiari i or chiari ii malformation occurs, associated with hydrocephalus if the cerebro-spinal fluid can't circulate properly. A small posterior fossa is seen in other, rarer syndromes like joubert.
