Could a small arachnoid cyst (8mm) of the posterior fossa cause hydrocephalus, or does this only happen when the cyst is larger? i have both, but unsure if theyre related?

The arachnoid cyst is almost certainly a coincidental congenital variant of no pathological consequence, and in no way, if extracranial and small, can obstruct the cerebrospinal flow and promote hydrocephalus. Have a meeting with your doctors and fully discuss the prior imaging and clinical correlations.
