Less salt and fat: Salt would be your major enemy and fat is another. BP is often a familial trait and medication may be needed despite what you do. However maintaining a normal body weight, exercise regularly, reducing salt intake will likely help. A reduction in red meat and fat consumption may help. Dr benson discovered about 40 years ago that meditation also helps to reduce bp. Good luck.

Decrease salt: Lowering the amount of sodium in the diet can help lower blood pressure, try not to exceed 2000 mg of sodium daily, and exercise regulary.
