Wrist pain: The focal wrist pain, if worse with activity, or with pressure, sounds like an orthopedic issue, perhaps an inflammatory problem. Could be something as simple as tendonitis if it is around the base of the thumb. Check to be sure there is no rash in the area, and that the area does not feel warm to the touch, as these might represent a local infection. Doctor office visit seems appropriate.
