Could you tell me why my lymph-node in my neck has been enlarged for over a year and if that is bad?

Lymph Node: You could have swollen lymph nodes. However the swollen lymph nodes suggest an inflammatory or infectious process happening in your body. Since this has not resolved I would seek medical evaluation to determine why you have swollen lymph nodes and why its bothering you. Hard to know how it affects you without evaluation.

Any number of things: Lumps in the neck can be caused by a number of things. They range from benign (like lymph nodes responding to an infection, cysts, or non-cancerous tumors) to serious conditions like cancer. Your doctor, after doing a history and physical exam can help you and recommend a specialist if needed.
