Depends : 100 sit ups a day will strengthen your abdominal muscles in about 90-120 days. However, if you are asking about tone and definition of the "washboard stomach, " this is much more than sit-ups. This has more to do with diet than exercise. If you have belly fat, that needs to go away to achieve the "desired look.".
