See Dentist/OS: If the wisdom teeth were taken out recently, this is normal since we sometimes have to push against the existing teeth to remove other teeth. You also could have small cavities that are now exposed and need attention. If it has been some time since they were removed, it could be phantom pain - your brain thinks they are still there and doesn't realize they are gone. Your dentist can advise.

Normal but...: Often when extracting teeth, the adjacent tooth/teeth are used as anchors when taking out (elevating) the target tooth. If there are questions or if the pain lasts a while, don't hesitate to call the dentist/oral surgeon.

Not uncommon: Removal of wisdom teeth may sometimes leave some previously unexposed root surface of adjacent teeth exposed to food and beverages which can result in sensitivity to hot and cold, as well as a sensation of the bite feeling different. The majority of the symptoms are usually transient and resolve over a period of time. If there was existing decay in the adjacent teeth, the pain could be from that

Healing: Often they are sensitive while the tissues and bone are healing, as they are right next to the area. Just like the skin around the cut hurts, even though it isn't cut, while healing is going on. Also, some of the root of the teeth may be uncovered and exposed to cold and sweets -- this can be sensitive. It should resolve in time. If not, see the Oral Surgeon and your family Dentist. Good Luck.

Get well soon: Sensitivity or pain of the teeth next to the wisdom-tooth socket is common. NSAIDs and Tylenol (acetaminophen) OTC and good oral hygiene will resolve this, although it may last for 7-10 days.
