Curious as to how much do wisdom teeth hurt when growing?

It can vary: The perception of pain or discomfort and how we respond to it varies from person to person. As wisdom teeth are developing and erupting or attempting to erupt into the mouth, can be uncomfortable for some patients, and extremely painful for others.

Depends: Varies. Many patients have no pain. Some mild pain/pressure. often with infection, pain and swelling can be impressive. Best bet is when one notes the teeth coming in (or routinely without symptoms in teens), oral surgery consultation is indicated to discuss options.
