Can extracting wisdom teeth hurt that bad?

Wisdom teeth: Your pain will be moderate in most cases. Follow all post-op instuctions. You will be given pain meds for the first few days. Good luck.

Depends: Perception and response to painful or noxious stimuli varies from person to person. Some patients have four impacted wisdom teeth removed with only local anesthesia and do well. Some patients may have a single tooth removed with sedation and say that the procedure was not a pleasant one. Iv sedation and/or general anesthesia can make a potentially unpleasant procedure more comfortable.

None during: Usually no pain at all during extraction. Postop pain varies but usually handled well with medication. For best results, see board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon for exam/treatment.
