Yes: While plain ct scan is not the best test for aneurysm, large aneurysms can potentially be spotted. Mri is a better test, especially when blood vessels are looked at as well.

Not necessarily: Unless it is very large, it may not show up on a plain ct. A ct angiogram is more sensitive.
