Ct & mra 2013. ct 2019. clear. small calcification. i fear brain aneurysms/heamorrhage. dads uncle (3 days ago) and auntie (years ago)died from heamorrhage. his niece had an avm treated. i have pain in my head on and off. chances i'll haemorrhage too?

In a majority of cases, brain aneurysm is completely asymptomatic until it bursts. You have had negative brain scans in the past which did not show any aneurysm but we can't not predict 10-20 years from now but I can tell you with certainty that the pain you have is not related to cerebral aneurysm.

Fully agree with Dr. Le, and would emphasize that headaches can be managed by a neurologist. Although your family history is worrisome, would obtain a full blood screen for common risk factors. Certainly, check on familial lipid disorders and hyperhomocysteinuria. Counseling to quell your fears is advised.
