Something he enjoys: The recommendations for kids activities is that they engage in an hour of exercise per day. I would start by asking your teen what he would like to do. If the answer is "nothing" maybe join a gym as a family and go together. A combination of aerobic exercise, stretching and resistance exercises done on different days may be fun, or playing different sports.
