Son took mucolytic and suppressant for 7 days.after meds he is still coughing, shud i continue giving the meds? for how long?its a lingering cough.

Coughing: By using a cough suppressant it becomes more difficult to expectorate the phlegm being produced by the mucolytic cough medicine. Stop the suppressant, use the vaporizer , push fluids and elevate his mattress while sleeping.
