Walking pneumonia: Walking pneumonia is a loose term. If there is true pneumonia, it will show up on chest x-rays. Many coughs ; colds in preschool children are referred to as walking pneumonia. Most of them are exaggerated forms of "head colds". If fever has lasted for more than 3-5 days, one should get their children reevaluated.
