Swollen knee! had steroid shoot in my right knee 8 days ago with little improment. still swollen knee og click sounds. why is this not working?

Need exam!: A steroid injection in your knee may not help the underlying problem which is causing your knee to swell.A torn cartilage, early arthritic changes, loose bodies and a host of other potential diagnoses should be entertained. Try to see an orthopedic surgeon if possible for examination, x-rays ( and possible mri, if needed). Once a diagnosis is made real treatment for your knee can begin. Good luck!
