A member asked:

Can i be given to much steroid or hyaloronic acid to an already swollen knee?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I assume the joint fluid would be removed before injecting medication. There a varied doses of corticosteroid injected into a knee but there is also a maximum dose practitioners wouldn't exceed. In my experience, I find that the hyaluronic acid dose is usually standard in every patient. Other physicians may have had different experiences.
