A member asked:

I have high prolactin levels am female and 17 i am waiting an mri scan which will take 2-3 weeks will i be okay till then if i have a tumour?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Prolactin: A lot of people have a mildly high prolactin (i.e. Less than 100). If it is a tumor, the size of the tumor is proportional to the prolactin, so if prolactin is less than 100, the tumor is likely small. Prolactin tumors are almost always treated with medications, like cabergoline, and not surgery. Don't worry. You may need to see an endocrinologist.
